Eid al-fitr is on Friday September 10th, 2010
The Manitoba Islamic Association (MIA) in consultation with Imam Hosni are pleased to announce that Thursday, September 9th will be the 30th of Ramadan and Friday, September 10th will be the first day of Shawwal, the Day of Eid al-Fitr.
We wish our community and all Muslims Eid Mubarak.

Eid Salat @ 09:30AM
Prayer Mats
The hall is not carpeted. Please remember to bring your prayer mats.

Parking is available in underground parking at the Convention Centre, street parking, and other parking lots around the Convention Centre. Please refer to the map below for directions.

On Wednesday September 8 the moon was not/cannot be seen because it sets before sunset. Therefore, Thursday Sep 9th is the 30th day of Ramadan and the 1st day of Shawwal which marks the the start of eid ul-fitr is on Friday Friday Sep 10, 2010. |

Time: During Taraweeh The Manitoba Islamic Association is the largest non-profit, charitable organization that serves Muslims in Manitoba. MIA needs your support for general operations. Please bring cash or cheque to Taraweeah prayer on Sunday, September 5th, 2010. Fundraising will happen at both Hazelwood and Waverly mosques. When: Friday Aug 27th after the 4th Rakaa (Approx 10:45pm) What: Fund Raising for the victims of the Pakistan Flood. A dedicated speaker coming from Islamic Relief will be speaking to raise funds. Where: Waverely Masjid (2445 Waverely) Twenty million
people are affected. They are without food, shelter and medicine. They
need your help! Open your hearts and receive the blessings of ramadan
ten fold ! Inshaallah.
