The guest Qari from Egypt, Sheikh Hassan Al-Adawi is scheduled to arrive today, Monday. The Qari will lead prayers at Grand mosque. He will also have some educational programs (details to follow).
The MIA Al-Fajr Quran Institute will hold the Quran competition on Saturday July 20 and July 27. There are about 60 registered students. E-mails will be sent to all informing them of the exact date and date of competition.
Special youth night is being planned for on July 26-27. Program will include lectures, iftar, nightly prayers and more. More details will follow soon.
MIA day camp program for the summer is under way at the Grand Mosque. The program runs four times a week –Monday to Thursday- from 10:00 – 2:00 pm. For registration, please contact:

Every Monday and Wednesday beginning at 6:00 pm various youth sports activities are taking place at the Grand Mosque Gym, under the supervision of Youth Activity Coordinator. To register please contact: office@miaonline.org (204) 256-1347
To ensure parking rules are followed at the Grand Mosque parking, a towing company has been engaged and signs are placed around the mosque. Kindly, follow parking rules at all times.
MIA EC would like to thank all of the volunteers for the great work they did in landscaping the entrances of the Grand Mosque and changing the pavements of the Hazelwood mosque. Their dedication is greatly appreciated.

Washrooms replacement at Hazelwood mosque
The renovation of the Hazelwood washroom has taken more than was expected. To accommodate the needs of mosque attendees, temporary portable washroom have been placed in the parking area. We apologize for any inconveniences.
- Sunday after Zuhr short lectures on luminaries of Islam in both Grand and Hazelwood.
- Short reminders during taraweeh on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and every night in last 10 nights of Ramadan.
- Daily Quran recitation halaqa for youth and adults after Asr prayer at Grand mosque under Sheikh Atef Ibrahim’s direction.
