alt Jummah prayers on March 29 (Good Friday) will be held at all prayer locations. There will be a bake sale after Jummah at the Waverley and Hazelwood mosques. All proceeds will go to mosque operations. If you would like to donate food for the bake sale, please see the contact info below.

[Apr 27th] 2nd Annual MIA Fundraising Dinner

When: Saturday, April 27th, 2013

alt alt The 2nd Annual MIA fundraising dinner will be held on Saturday April 27, 2013 under the theme “Generous We Flourish”. The dinner will be held at the Waverly mosque. The renown speaker Sheikh Abdullah Idris will be the key note speaker.
Dinner tickets will be $25.00 per person. Ages 3 to 9 will be in the Babysitting Program for $5 per child. Tickets can be bought from the local mosques or at miaonline.org.

Sunday Quran Class Awards and Future Programs

alt On Sunday March 17, awards were presented to Quran class students who excelled in their Mid Term exams. The Sunday Quran is held in Waverly mosque every Sunday; it is attended by over 100 students and is managed by over 10 volunteer teachers. The MIA EC would like to take this opportunity to thank Quran class directors Shiekh Atef and Dr. Sadeq and the volunteer teachers for their great effort.

As an extension to Sunday Quran class two programs are being planned:
• Afull Quran memorization (Hifz) program.
• Quran memorization and competition program in the month of Ramadan.
