Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Arabic Language for Arabic and non-Arabic speaking students from Kindergarten to Grade 5. The ideal candidate will create an engaging learning environment that aligns with our Islamic values and promotes an appreciation for the Arabic language and culture.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement interactive, age-appropriate Arabic language curriculum that aligns with Islamic values.
- Design and execute lesson plans that cater to young learners and support language acquisition.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess students’ progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and administration.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods and digital tools to enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate language learning with other subject areas.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Arabic Language, Linguistics, or a related field.
- A Canadian Teaching certification is a great asset.
- Fluent in Arabic and in English.
- Experience teaching Arabic to children or experience in early childhood education is preferred.
- Strong understanding and appreciation of Islamic values and teachings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a stimulating learning environment and manage classroom effectively.
- Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
