Fajr Ajr resumes at Grand and Pioneer Mosques Saturday, December 9.
“So perform the regular prayers in the period from the time the sun is past its zenith till the darkness of the night, and [recite] the Quran at dawn- dawn recitation is always witnessed.” (Quran 17:78)
This years theme will be based on the Sahaba! Every Sunday we will have talks about the lives of the Sahaba.
Take advantage of winter and join with your brothers and sisters in praying Fajr in the mosque! Fajr Iqamah time will be delayed on weekends to 7:30 am (remains 7:00 am on weekdays) for the next 10 weeks.
We encourage all, brothers, sisters, families with children, young and senior to join in prayers!
We will be handing out “reward cards” to kids. After praying Fajr, kids can have them stamped and collect points for small encouragement gifts insha Allah!
There is a tremendous reward in praying Fajr in the mosque. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Give glad tidings to those who walk to the mosque in darkness of perfect light on the Day of Resurrection.”
