The MIA AL-Fajr Quran memorization contest awards will be presented to the winners on Sunday, August 04 at the Grand Mosque after Zuhr prayer. Close to 45 students participated at all levels. All participants will receive participation awards. The winners will receive their special awards. We encourage all members of the community to come and show their support and encouragements to our young hafizs.
Zakat Al-Fitr is estimated at $10.00 per person. You may make your payments in cash or write a cheque payable to MIA.
Taraweeh prayers at the Grand Mosque are now being broadcasted live through the MIA website. This will give those who can’t make it to the mosque a chance to listen to the recitations, prayers and daily reminders. Prayer are led by the guest Qari Sh. El-Adawi, Sh. Atef and Br. Mahmoud. Congregational nightly prayers will begin at both Grand and Hazelwood mosques as well as locations on Monday, July 29, 2013 and continue until the end of Ramadan. The prayers will begin at 3:00 AM at Grand Mosque and 2:45 at Hazelwood Mosque. Free suhoor will be available in both places.
