The Kids-to-kids corner is a station at the “Welcome Ramadan” event where kids can participate actively in the event by creating any type of art that represents Ramadan.

There are no specifications for the materials or the size. 

Kids can choose one or more from these examples. 

  • Ramadan crafts ideas:
    • Lantern,
    • Ramadan Mubarak card,
    • Islamic canvas painting,
    • Ramadan Mubarak banner,
    • Design your own prayer mat,
    • Ramadan Mubarak crescent moon with a star,
    • Ramadan Calendar with 30 pouches/pockets/envelops to add everyday’s good deeds to them,
    • Ramadan paper mat with duaa of iftar on it,
    • Ramadan bookmark with hadith on rewards of reading Quran.
  • Ramadan posters:
    • A poster that includes 3 authentic hadiths about Ramadan.
    • A poster that mentions the ayah that tells us that we have to fast Ramadan and also explain the word “taqwah”.
    • A poster that includes hadiths on the rewards of fasting.
    • A poster with the moon phases and kids should be able to know when Ramadan starts.
    • A poster or 3D masjid and the kids should add hadiths that mention the rewards of walking to and praying in the masjid, and the rewards of Taraweeh prayer as well.

How to register:

  • Email us at: miakidslibrary@miaonline.org and let us know the type of crafts you are planning to do, and send us the hadiths you will be using in your posters.
  • On Friday March 10 from 7:00-8:00pm , there will be a meeting with the kids to check the project’s progress.
  • Kids should bring their final art to the mosque on Friday March 17 from 7-8 pm
  • During the event, the other kids will visit the kids- to -kids craft corner in groups. The craft makers should be able to represent the information in their posters.
