Anti-Semitic and Anti-Islamic/Muslim hate incidences and rhetoric are on the rise in Canada. There is a proliferation of web-based hate sites targeting our respective communities and faiths. These phenomena endanger the safety of our families and the peace of our communities.
OUR OBJECTIVE is to build and develop bridges of solidarity and understanding based on accurate information, between Manitoba Muslims and Jews to combat Islamophobia and Anti-Semitism proactively through collaboration and cooperation

Speakers and facilitators will present and discuss on topics including: Islamophobia and Anti-Semitism in Canada; historical perspectives; personal reflections; impact of hate and working through hate; “Conversation Cafés,” with participants; textual analysis of both Jewish and Muslim scripture; role playing and scenario training; and information from experts on hate groups operating in Canada and around the world.
