Mayor Brian Bowman Presents Community Service Award to MIA at 50th Anniversary Gala

The Manitoba Islamic Association (MIA) is very pleased to inform you that at MIA’s 50th Anniversary Gala, Mayor Brian Bowman presented MIA with the Mayor’s Community Service Award. In his remarks at the Gala, the Mayor noted the importance of MIA’s work in the community and its many contributions to the betterment of Winnipeg.

The sold-out Gala featured also congratulatory presentations by representatives of the Federal and Provincial governments. MIA also received a letter from Premier Pallister.

We wish to thank all of those who attended the Gala and those who wanted to attend but were unable to because the tickets ran out. We thank the volunteers who worked hard to make this event a great success.
