MIA part of newly formed Canadian Muslim COVID-19 Task Force

Dear Community members, Assalamu Alaikum.

Yesterday March 26, 2019, the Canadian Muslim COVID-19 Task Force (CMCTF) was announced. Canadian Muslim medical experts, religious leaders, and community advocates have come together to form the CMCTF to ensure that Canadian Muslim communities have the information and resources they need to deal with the current pandemic.

The CMCTF will foster collaboration and sharing of resources, and will promote a unified approach to the challenges facing our community and country as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

MIA is very proud to be part of this initiative, and to be represented on this task force by its board chair, Idris Elbakri.

The CMCTF, with experts from a variety of relevant fields, will ensure our community has the benefit scientifically and religiously sound guidance as we venture into uncharted territory in the weeks and months ahead.
