2009-2010 MIA Scholarship Application Form

Eligibility

Manitoba Muslim students in post secondary education or in their final year of high school who have been accepted to a post secondary education institution.

Consideration

Students will be evaluated on: (i) academic merit, (ii) financial need, and (iii) level of volunteerism in the Muslim community. 

Application Process

All applicants MUST email scholarship[at]miaonline.org by October 24th, 2009 October 30th, 2009, the following items as attachments:

1. 2009-2010 MIA Application Form (Download)
2. Official transcript (issued in last 3 months)
3. Official Letter of Acceptance (if applicable)
4. Cover letter describing your academic, financial, and volunteer situation
5. Official letter(s) of reference for Muslim volunteer activities (letter MUST state approximate number or hours and events volunteered in the last 12 months)

Please note that applicants MAY be interviewed to clarify the content of their application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Scholarship Amount

Each student chosen will receive $ 1,000 each.
