Job Title: Outdoor Maintenance Worker
Location: 2445 Waverley Grand Mosque
Terms: Full Time
Requirements: Available for Day, Evening and Weekend shifts
Daily Responsibilities
- Fertilize and water plants, lawn, trees and shrubs
- Cut lawn using hand, power, or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds and walls
- Preform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties
- Clean drainage, ditches, culverts
- Remove garbage and debris from outdoor areas
- Sweep walkway of debris
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping
- Grass cutting, trim shrubs, pull weeds
- Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed
- Install rock, cement, lighting if needed
- Report breakdowns, accidents, damage, or vandalism to MIA Office Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proactive
- Requires minimum supervision.
- Must be fluent in English.
- High attention to detail/ability to multi-task
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Physically able to complete job
- Able to work in various weather conditions.
- Passionate, driven to deliver the best in all tasks.
- Experience in operating small machinery and tools
- Eager to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in outdoor maintenance
- Groundskeeping or landscaping experience
- Experience in handling electrical tools
