Ramadan Updates
In preparation for Ramadan for this year, MIA has made few publications, services and events available. Please read below to learn about the new Ramadan Hotline, download the Ramadan Schedule and Bulletin Info and be informed of an awareness activity for kids to learn about the month of Ramadan and fasting.
Ramadan Hotline
To make it easy for community members to find out the start and end dates of Ramadan, the MIA has established a Ramadan Hotline exclusively for announcing the dates of Ramadan and Eid. Community members can call
204-977-6994 for a recorded message on the start of Ramadan. Community members can also use the hotline to leave a message with any religious questions they have about Ramadan and fasting. An MIA religious counselor will return their call.
Ramadan Schedule Now Available
Ramadan schedule for the year 1435/2014 has been released and can be downloaded from here. Hard copies will also be available in the mosques.
MIA Ramadan Info Bulletin
Information about the expected date of Ramadan, special Ramadan, programs, I’tikaf, Zakat Al Fitr, and useful spiritual and religious advice can all be founded in the MIA Ramadan Info Bulletin, available for download and in hard copy at the mosques.
