About
Over the past few years, the Muslim community that has grown significantly. There has been an influx of Muslims from all over the world and we look forward to supporting our community with an Islamic community school based on the recommendations of our community.
MIA Institute of Knowledge aims to provide an Islamic-centered education for students starting in Kindergarten through Grades 4. We believe that Allah (SWT) is the source of knowledge and all the streams of knowledge guide us to oneness of Allah (SWT). The MIA Institute of Knowledge strives to provide quality education based around Islamic values, by embedding Islamic concepts through the subjects being taught. In our classroom, we will focus on developing moral values alongside a strong academic curriculum. Our goal is for children to want Islam, love Islam and live Islam.
Principal
Dr. Cheikh Ould Moulaye
Dr. Cheikh Ould Moulaye holds a Ph. D. degree in Physical Chemistry, a Bachelor of Education degree, and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Instructional Design. He has been working as an educator since 1998, in both France and Canada. His recent experiences include being the Associate Director of Distance and Online Education at the University of Manitoba, where he was responsible for course delivery systems and operations including quality assurance, pedagogical support and examination administration.
Dr. Moulaye has been actively involved in research projects aimed at informing the practice of instructional design of courses and programs. His research projects included mobile learning, and using online proctoring to increase flexibility, accessibility and academic integrity of blended and online courses. He has been a keynote presenter at international conferences.
His experience in the K-12 system includes designing Grades 11 and 12 Chemistry courses for online delivery offered by Manitoba Education.
